It must be hard for Nokia to keep consumer interest in Symbian going while simultaneously developing a whole new ecosystem, so we’ll forgive the unimaginative move to just do a pink version of the N8. That handset already benefited from the widest set of color options among any smartphone flagships, and will soon be adding a very T-Mobile-friendly shade of light red to its anodized aluminum case. Judging by those curvy icons on its 3.5-inch AMOLED screen, the pink N8 will also feature the latest version of Symbian, dubbed Anna, though Nokia unfortunately fails to tell us when we may expect this mildly refreshed phone to arrive. Then again, we suspect it’ll be pretty hard to miss whenever it does show up.

Mobile Geek Inc. has unearthed some interesting images which apparently reveals that the C6-01 runs on the much-coveted Symbian^3. The image of the phone had initially popped up on Netherlands’ Nokia Online Store.Previously, there were hearsays about the phone coming with an 8MP camera. Well, now thanks to the images found by the site we fathom that it could be a full touchscreen without a keypad. They were found on a German website called NokiaPort.de and a user agent profile. These images have shown that the handset is for real and might soon be released. The phone is said to be coming with a 360 x 640 pixel touchscreen display. Supporting Wi-Fi and GPS, it is said to offer the ability to access Ovi Maps. Since the UAP said that it has a ‘PhoneKeyPad’, it could only mean no QWERTY slide-out keypad for this device. Furthermore, the image above compares both the C6s with the original having a space between the sliding mechanisms which the 01 apparently does not. This could also mean that it does not have a sliding keyboard.
